Lots of students have been enjoying doing some sewing during project time. It was lovely having Lara's grandmother come and help us last week. Projects happen from 1:40-2:10pm each Friday if anyone wants to join us.
Ashley and her mum Lynda brought in some chickens for us to have a look at this week. They were very cute!
Kinder and Year One were lucky enough to have a visit from representatives from the NRL Club the Dragons. They read a story called Dusty and Friends about being a good sport and how to control our anger. Then we played some rugby style games which was lots of fun. The students learnt a lot about appropriate behaviour and how to be a good team player.
1J enjoyed Felix's news this week when he brought in his Dad and some photos of the massive oil rig where he works. The students had lots of questions and it was very educational. Thanks Felix and Mark.
As part of our Poetry Unit Miss Vee has introduced them to a poem about a worm. They then had to write their own poem about worms. To get their brains working, students had to feel some worms (spaghetti). There were some great reactions! And some wonderful poems created!
To finish off our history unit, the Year One students made some scones with Belle at the canteen. It was a great experience and they tasted very yummy!
